the lovely miss hsaio tsai - sporting mr. boombha's rainhat.

APE on a mellow Sunday morning.
sales were good, and my table felt pretty sparse by sunday afternoon. hsaio came and kept me company. i love this chick. behind hsiao is Kiyoshi's poster, which i got thien for his birthday. behind that is one of the nature paintings.hsaio's paintings are in the Clay Studio gallery, but i haven't gotten a chance to photograph her work, along with jeffrey roysdon's and mats!?'....
chris brandt with for his documentary. my sister's puppets await attentively.
dan zettwoch, brian kaas, and vanessa davis at the USScatastrophe table.

beautiful paintings by andrice arp - these are up at the APESHiT show at the Clay Gallery (743 Harrison). the show is running for about a month.

ientsy-wientsy drawings by paul madonna, also at the Clay Gallery. paul dropped by the APE show; it was good to see him.

my favorite boys. truly, truly.
what would APE be without my favorite peeps? you guys make it all worthwhile.
lou and pete's schnoz.

one of my favorite's by jesse. work by jesse reklaw at the Clay Studio gallery. props to him for co-curating the APESHiT show, producing over a dozen new works for the exhibit, and for debuting yet another new comic at APE!
this is the Jane's World table. Jane's World is an ongoing comic by paige braddock, and it's been nominated for best humor book for this year's Eisner awards. yay, Paige!but oh, man! i'm so bad with names... this picture is not of paige, but of another friend at the Jane's World table. she made these nifty purses....
ps. thanks for the chocolate, yummers
justin hall, creator of True Travel Tales, signing at his table. justin is one of the curator's for the APESHiT show.
food lino prints by justin hall at the Clay Studio gallery.
watercolors by scott campbell - this kid is pure genius. i apeshit you not. this guy has more talent in his little pinky than well... you. all joking aside, if you get an opportunity to see or even buy a scott campbell piece, jump on it asap!
pyramid car - click on this picture for a larger view! scott has minicomics as well, and you can read his online stuff at doublefine. actually, there are most excellent comics on doublefine, definite must-sees. razmig's epic saga, for instance.
ex-housemates, together once again! aaron drew a terrific color illustration in my copy of Spiral-Bound. i will try to post it later on this week.
oh crazy bratz! steve, brianna and jacob, representin right and proper.
one of my APE neighbors, hae eun. she has cute plushies for sale. on the other side of me were the poketo girls. i forgot to take a lot of pictures, so you'll just have to imagine something up to fill in the gaps.
sunday dinner of spicy korean noodles. i picked out the shrimp.
if you've made it this far down on this post, here are my new paintings at the clay studio. on rice pot covers, and chopping boards.

trevor, dan and vanessa, at the afterparty.
der wunderbar joe sayers and sarah
joe's work at the Clay Studio gallery! i'm especially fond of the aufgeregt coffee mug.
a heated discussion of baseball, pro-wrestling and rkelly ensues. since i only watch cartoons and listen to german books on tape, i have no idea of whatall is going on.
davis and reklaw, nodding off. good night, sleep tight.
